How to start your rebounding journey…

Congratulations! You have decided that you would like to give rebounding a go and I promise you will not be disappointed. I would suggest that when you do start with this new form of exercise, that you start off with a few quick 5 minute sessions. Believe me – 5 minutes seem short – until you are on a rebounder. First try this 5 minute class a few times just so that your body can get used to this type of exercise. You can even do more than one session a day, let’s say in the morning and in the late afternoon.

Lisa Raleigh has a lot of short video’s on YouTube available and by doing this you will quickly learn what to do and what not to do. You will fall in love with this exercise and will definitely soon be heading over to her website to buy more downloads. I have links to the YouTube video’s below to make it more easier for you to access.

This 5 minute class is so much fun – you can do it in your pajama’s. In this 5 minute video you will learn a few basic exercises and do each one for 30 seconds. Press the play button to start your journey!

As soon as you feel confident enough and would like to double your time on the rebounder, here is a 10 minute video:

Well done! You are already getting fitter and I’m sure you are having loads of fun. Here is Lisa Raleigh’s 15 minute class.

You should be ready now to try out the 20 minute class.

Now that you have some idea of exactly what to do, you can head over to Lisa Raleigh’s website and get some downloads! There are several options available and by buying these classes, you can download it and do it as often as you like.

Currently Lisa Raleigh has a 8 week beginners course available which is amazing. It will get you from 5 minute classes to 60 minute classes in just 8 weeks. For easy access to Lisa’s website, please click on the link below:

  • New Year… New YOU!

Yes, we all know that 2020 has been a crazy year. So much has happened and so much has changed. The year did not go as we have planned but I’m sure you have learned a lot of lessons throughout the year, just like I did. I have definitely learned how to get my priorities straight. I’ve learned how precious my family is and you would do anything in your power to protect them. I’ve learned how things can change in an instant and I’ve learned who I can rely on and who not – and with that I’ve learned…

  • Bouncing back after pregnancy

Oh it is great to be back on my rebounder! I have been looking forward to it for a very long time! Although I worked out through most of my pregnancy, I could not work out at the same intensity as I used to when I found out that I was pregnant in January. The last couple of months before my beautiful baby boy was born, I could not exercise at all and it really frustrated me. I got the all clear from my Gynaecologist a week ago and he suggested that I just take it easy at first and…

  • What makes online training classes so great?

Despite everything that is going on around us at the moment where we are not allowed to attend group training classes, I thought I would give you some pro’s and con’s for working out online. In my personal opinion it is becoming more and more necessary for people to train from home at their own pace and on their own time. Most of us are working more than 8 hours a day and then have to sit in traffic for more or less another 2 hours traveling between work and home. This is making it very difficult for us to find time for…

  • Why Is Sleep Good For You?

Oh I just love to sleep. There is nothing better for me than a good night’s rest. I feel good, I look good and everything is just great. With that being said, at the same time if I don’t have a good night’s rest I’m a horrible person to be with. I feel awful, I don’t look good, I’m irritated and the day is just a mess even though it just started. According to the dictionary, sleep is: “a condition of body and mind which typically recurs for several hours every night, in which the nervous system is inactive, the eyes…

  • Post-partum recovery

This has definitely been one of the hardest things I have done in my life! Being a parent brings me so much joy but believe me when I say it has been hard and a huge adjustment, but definitely worth it. Our beautiful boy Stefan Snyman was born on the 30th of August via cesarian section. He is now 6 weeks old and we have finally settled in and have established a routine that works well for us. The first two weeks were rough but every day gets a little bit easier and we already can’t imagine life without our…

  • Rebounding vs treadmill running

I have been asked this question quite a lot over the last couple of weeks – is rebounding better than running and especially treadmill running as both are done indoors. The short answer is YES. And that is not just because I love rebounding and believe it is the best exercise out there. Several studies have been done that have proved that rebounding is better and more effective than running on a treadmill. A study that was published in the International Journal of Sports Science shows that rebounding is twice as effective at improving cardiovascular fitness and 50% more effective…
